Agricultural production in the Chiriqui highlands

The Highlands of Chiriqui, well known for its green meadows and extensive agricultural fields

Chiriqui is a province of high agricultural production, livestock, among other activities. The highlands of Chiriqui has the privilege of having a fertile land, this due to its height and the properties that the land contains because of its proximity to the Baru volcano.

In the Highlands of Chiriqui is produced most of the food consumed in the rest of the country, such as potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, beet, onion, peppers, coffee, beans, vegetables in general.

Its cool climate is one of the best for cattle raising, hence it produces much of the milk and beef that is consumed in the rest of the country
