The San Benito Agro-College in Volcan will host the 2nd Edition of the Event, “The Coffee, the passion that unites us"
The “Foundation of Coffee Growers of Highlands Chiriqui and Renacimiento” (FUNCATARE) celebrates for the second consecutive year the event that unites coffee lovers nationwide. The event will take place at the Colegio Agricola San Benito in Volcán:

- Seminar on “Barismo”
- Coffee tasting from “Renacimiento” and Highlands areas
- Coffee contest “Baru’s cup”
- “Barista Contest”
- Varied stands and cultural presentations
- Contest of edible products based on coffee
The Chiriqui Highlands and “Renacimiento” Coffee Growers Foundation (FUNCATARE) has the mission of “Being the entity that strengthens the coffee industry in all links through the organization of events, technology transfer, workshops and symposiums that promote added value to the product of Highlands and Renacimiento.
Its main objectives are:
1- Promote the Highlands Chiriqui and “Renacimiento” coffee industry national-wide and internationally, through the Panama Coffee Weekend event with the participation of all producers in the area.
2- Integrate farms and visitors through agro-tourism and gastronomic tourism.
3- Strengthen human resources and potential in the region.
The vision of the “Foundation of Coffee Growers of Highlands Chiriqui and Renacimiento” (FUNCATARE) is to “Promote the competitive position of the western region of the country, bringing companies the tools that allow them to develop sustainable competitive advantages and promoting the attraction of investments, entrepreneurship , the necessary infrastructure for social and cultural inclusion, articulating public and private efforts
